Astrill VPN is a growing provider of services in the industry. They were formed in 2009, registered in Seychelles, and since then have grown exponentially. Today they boast 113 servers in 49 countries. While not the cheapest, their price of $5.83 per month (annual plan) is certainly affordable. And, though with restrictions, they do have a refund policy.
Astrill offers a 7 day free trial. During this period you may request a refund. But be aware that this is not an unconditional (also known as no questions asked) refund. Your request for a refund will be granted in certain circumstances.
- If you have used the free trial and gone ahead and purchased the service you are not eligible for a refund
- If you have not opted for the free trial during which time you can evaluate the service and have purchased the full service, you may be entitled to a full or partial refund within 7 days of purchase if
- Astrill doesn’t function on your computer due to technical reasons and Astrill technicians were not able to fix the problem(s) within 7 days of purchase.
- At their discretion they reserve the right to refuse service to any customer if any of the Terms of Service have been breached. In such a case no refund will be issued
In some instances a credit, not a refund (no cash), may be issued to be used for future purchases if some of their add-on services were unsatisfactory.
Refund issues will be addressed within 3 business days. At this time they will either issue a refund, a credit or give an explanation as to why the refund has been denied. Apart from what already has been stated there are no other money back guarantees available.
In light of this, we have to think that there is some possibility you may not get your money back. But it seems like a remote chance that if you are genuinely dissatisfied with Astrill during the 7 day free trial period you won’t get your money refunded. Also, no coupon code is needed to initiate service. If you are comfortable with this arrangement then go for it!
