The world of VPNs opens a large door into the world of watching free online content through different countries whether it be iPlayer in the UK, iTunes in the US or even Netflix in Colombia. So many times have we mentioned these services and reviewed the best VPNs for them or even reviewed competing products such as Popcorn time. Until recently though we had no way of knowing what is streaming where – and that’s where Moreflicks comes in.
Moreflicks is an online search engine which allows you to find out what is streaming on seven different services (Netflix, Vudu, Hulu, iTunes, BBC iPlayer, Fox, Crackle) around the globe. It allows you to easily find out what is streaming in your country or alternatively if you have a movie/series in mind you can find out where it’s streaming and use your VPN connection in order to access that content.
Though the service may only be in Beta and developments currently looking stagnant it is definitely worth checking out and showing support as it looks to evolve into something that will be very useful and absolutely fantastic.
The Moreflicks website has a nice and simple layout making it easy to navigate and use. At the search box you are able to select which services you’d like the information for, which is really useful if you want to filter out services to which you don’t have a subscription or if you are only interested in a specific service. You are also able to browse by a number of categories if you don’t have anything specific in mind.
Once you have selected a movie it gives you a brief outline of it, with ratings sourced from Rotten Tomatoes and the services where it is hosted. In the top right corner you are able to view what services it is available on and in which countries and from that point on you just need to use your VPN to connect to the right country and then start watching.
Overall we are hoping Moreflicks will develop further but even at this stage we think it’s a fantastic little website and worth placing in your bookmarks. If you are looking for something similar but only for Netflix then we also recommend using Instantwatcher.
