Ask Me Anything is a popular and quite self-explanatory forum on Reddit, where volunteers invite forum member to… well, ask them anything… Yesterday evening, however, something quite special happened, as NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, maker of the Oscar winning documentary CITIZENFOUR Laura Poitras, and ex-Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald joined the AMA forum and invited questions.
Although Snowden, Poitras and Greenwald only participated for a couple of hours in a discussion that covered everything from what life is like living in Russia, to predictable accusations of Mr Snowden being a traitor, to plenty of requests for security advice, and much more, the thread is still buzzing, and now runs to some to some ten thousand posts . Most questions are directed at Snowden, and show overwhelming support for his actions.
Somewhat frustratingly, Snowden at one point complains that Reddit is rate-limiting his replies, only allowing him to make one post every ten minutes.
Anyway, we thought that our readers might be interested in reading (or joining in!) the discussion, which can be found here.
