Changes to the Game
One of the biggest changes to the fourth installment of the Mass Effect series is that combat takes place in real time, meaning players won’t be able to pause the game to aim or use skills mid-combat. BioWare also encourages dynamic battles, with a number of new features in addition to the open-world environment. Gadgets like a jetpack, flamethrower, and a number of biotic skills are all at the player’s disposal.
Perhaps the most intriguing part of the Mass Effect universe is the ability to influence the storyline with several dialogue options. BioWare looks to further this experience by adding “Impulse Actions” that might pop up during a conversation (such as “shoot” or “kiss”).
Explore the Universe!
Another big draw for fans of the Mass Effect series is the ability to explore the massive universe and deal with unique challenges on different planets. Andromeda continues this style, while also adding open world elements to planets that can be explored using the Nomad all-terrain vehicle.
Players will encounter various environmental hazards when traveling to different planets, such as volcanoes, frozen tundras, and radiation.
Mass Effect: Andromeda Multiplayer
Built upon the success of Mass Effect 3’s co-op multiplayer, Andromeda will feature a multiplayer mode that sees teams of four players come together to defeat waves of enemies and complete objectives. Andromeda looks to build on the success of Mass Effect 3’s co-op multiplayer mode.
With 26 different characters (13 classes), Andromeda’s multiplayer looks extremely promising. Get yourself a copy of the game and start playing with your friends!
