House of Cards tackles NSA spying

Popular Netflix series House of Cards has garnered a solid reputation for reveling “in the familiar but always entertaining underbelly of government.” In Season 4 (released on Netflix, 4 March 2016) chief protagonist Francis “Frank” Underwood (played by Kevin Spacey) continues to serve as 46th President of the United States.

Conniving and ruthless as ever, in this clip we see Underwood breaking the fourth wall to tell us about his “Plan B” – using NSA spying to rig the upcoming election in his favor,

Although the House of Cards is fiction, the powers discussed here by Underwood, and their potential for abuse, are chillingly real…
